In October, I went to a Gem Show organized by the Port Moody Rock and Gem Club, in search of original pendants, and I immediately fell for this pendant. I really loved all its grey/blue tones and its small touch of brown at the end.
I tried to work the cord with the same colors. I could have gone for a more brownish cord, but I preferred to keep the main colors in mind. So, I finally came up with the idea of Pineapple knots made of blue mist and light grey cords. And I’m pretty glad with the result.
I also made a bracelet that’ll be perfect with this necklace.
This necklace is made of two 2mm satin cords, a blue mist one and a light grey one, and a natural blue/grey/brown stone pendant I bought from the local Port Moody Rock and Gem Club.
It features two natural stone beads and golden metal beads, as well as Pineapple knots and sliding Button knots as a closure, which offer you a great choice of length.
Each knot has its own meaning in the Chinese culture.
Thus, the Pineapple knot is considered a symbol of prosperity.
As the Button knot, it is seen as good luck.
So, as a mix of these Chinese knots, I hope this necklace will be a lucky charm that brings to its wearer prosperity along the way 😉
